John (or Johnny as I remember him from elementary school years) lived a few houses down from me in Roselawn on Scottwood Avenue. We played as kids. He was a very sweet person, though I don't think I knew that concept when I was at Roselawn school. I know that he passed away very young because my mother, of blessed memory, ran into or possibly learned in a phone conversation with John's mother, that Johnny had passed away. As I remember it, he was married and had at least one child; though I am not fully sure of that fact. My parents moved from Cincinnati to Maryland to be near me in 1989, 35 years ago, and I am pretty sure she spoke to Ms. Blackwood while she still lived in Cincinnati; but I am not positive of that either. Based on what I remember, it is likely that John passed in his 40's.

May his memory be a blessing
