I was raised as a reform Jew without many traditions of orthodox Judaism. The first time I ever saw anyone put on tefillin was when I slept over at Marvin's house and he did his prayers the next morning. That was at least 60 years ago. Thank you for teaching me, Marvin, what Jewish tradition looks like. May your memory always be for a blessing.

Marv's meeting with and marriage to Rella was a story book tale. He was a great guy and a good friend. I feel lucky to have known him.

I was very sorry to learn of Marv's passing.
Marv was one of the first new Friends I made when I came to Woodward. Along with John Lewis, Jack Reinbach and Mike Mayer, when we all met and became teammates on the Sophomore Football Team, during those hot days in August.
We had lots of good, fun times together.
The first, and the last, time I saw Marv, since Graduation, was at our 50th Reunion. We got an opportunity to catch up, reminisce, and laugh about the "good old days ". Same great chemistry, like we never skipped a beat.
He looked absolutely fantastic ! Like he hadn't aged a day.
Marv was one of the many friends , I had, that helped make my Woodward experience some of the best days of my Life.
My sincere condolences and sympathies to his entire Family and Friends.
Marv, Alav Ha-Shalom.
