It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of Karen Lee Messmer age 78 of Margate Florida departed this life and died peacefully surrounded by family and friends on December 28 th , 2025.

 

She was born in Cincinnati, Ohio on August 2, 1947, to Alvin and Virginia Miller, and went to Woodward High School and Ohio State University. She was a successful sales and business manager and retired from work in 2012 to enjoy her later years. She was cherished by family and friends for her kindness, generosity, and  unwavering spirit.  Karen will be remembered for the love she shared, the lives she touched, and the legacy she leaves behind.

 

Karen is survived by her husband Charles Messmer, her sister Marlene Cherkinsky, her sons Robert Michaelson, David Michaelson, Brian Messmer, her grandchildren, Lindsay, Emmy and Parker.
