She was born in Liberty, Ky. to Curtis and Helen Smith Wilkinson. She married William Benzing on Nov. 29, 1969, in Cincinnati, Ohio. He survives.

She is also survived by one son, Nathan Benzing of Fairmount; five daughters, Gretchen Neisler of Louisville, Ky., Anna Cast of Catlin, Emily Benzing, Nancy Benzing and Abigail Benzing, all of Fairmount; one brother, Mathew Wilkinson of Liberty, Ky.; three sisters, Betty Bogle of Cincinnati, Ohio, Donna Remus of Cleveland, Ohio, and Sandra Bailey of British Columbia, Canada and one granddaughter, Mercedes Benzing of Fairmount.
