Dear Mr. Hendrick,
I am very sorry to learn of Marcia's passing. While I did not know her well (only having seen her at our reunions), I know that you loved her dearly and miss her deeply. Please extend my sympathy to your family. I hope that you will be able to attend our next reunion.
Sincerely,
Elinda Fishman Kiss
Paul, I just received the message about Marcia's passing. She was a wonderful companion to you and a special honorary member of our class. It was a pleasure to meet her and enjoy her support of you and your involvement with the Class of 65. My condolences and love go out to you. You are in my prayers as you travel through this difficult time. Take care! ~ Karen

Some of you may remember my fellow "chaperone". Marcia died early this morning in our hospice downstairs here at Llanfair in College Hill.
Happy Birthday, Elaine - from my assisted living suite at Llanfair in College Hill - but my memories of you and all my Woodward friends don't need to be assisted - they remain fresh as ever. Best - Paul

Happy Birthday, Vis - As I lay stretched out while Marvin filled the first cavity I've had in some 70 years or so, he spoke of having just been with you. I'll always remember when you two invited Marcia and me to dinner at your apt. on the curve in Clifton Ave. as it moves toward downtown. That will always remain the first time we'd been to invited to dinner with former students - and it will always be a special part of our lives with '65. You've done really well - I'm proud of your growth and look forward to seeing you again soon. LP

Happy Birthday, Linda. I still remember the quiet conversation with you and Ellis after the last retreat. I hope all goes well. Marcia and I are in Llanfair in College Hill near. La Boiteaux woods where she worked as a naturalist for many years. Unfortunately, soon after we moved into our independent living apt., her Parkinson disease necessitated her move into dependent living where she gets the care she needs and I am able to visit her there unless they have another lock down because of the Covid. Stay young!!!
Happy Birthday, Marv. I have been counting on you for all these years since we checked out places for the senior picnic. Hope you and Rella have a great celebratory day. Paul

Happy belated birthday - I enjoyed scrolling down and reading all the wishes there. Are all of my kids really turning 75 this year? For me it's going to be 86. I guess the older we get the more we become contemporaries.

Hope you've had a good birthday. Someday I'll have to tell you about Yellow Cat who came up from the woods to live with us - got neutered on the kitchen table by a house-call vet - ended up costing a fortune with his feline aids, but how we did love him! Here in the old folks home, our floor kind of shares in visits from Cinder a neighbor's beautiful totally black cat. It's almost like having a pet but knowing I won't have to hold him on my lap and pet him as his life leaves him as I did with our last two cats at home in Clifton - sisters we adopted and never let out so they lived a healthy, happy life with us for almost 20 years. No shots even until their final ones on my lap. It's been fun reading all your messages from '65 era. I've added two new books by former students (to Emily Myers's) to my authors I have taught shelf - Herbie Dietz's and Ron Crutcher's. Talk to you soon - next time I need help with the computer.
Your book arrived on "the shelf" outside my apartment yesterday evening. I've already skimmed through and find it fascinating. Your remembrance of Ann Davis stirs up many memories of my next door WHS neighbor - She was a fiercely independent woman. Today is set aside for organizing tax stuff and then I can tell you many stories of her strengths and biases. Do you have my e-mail - paulhendrick@fuse.net -?
