John and I reconnected through his nephew after many years. Always had great insight and worked with many neighbors in Fairfield helping them. Had some good conversations on electricity and devises. We both had taken up hobbies where we created things. His was wood working and mine was faceting gemstones. For a couple years I made him a few pieces before Christmas and mailed to him. My best friend as a child was killed outside his base, William Baker Hubble, so we connected a little on his time there. He had a great way to telling me about the geese flying onto the pond near him which he compared to their planes. And they do.
God bless his soul and you can rest now Johnny.

Johnny was a good friend and fraternity brother at
WHS. We were in Chi Omaga Sigma (COS) with a group
of young men that I was honored to know and call my brothers.
After graduation I went into the Navy and Johnny the Air Force
and we lost track of each other. I was so saddened when another
bud and brother Ken Ellison told me of Johnny's passing. When I think
of all the fun times we had together, it's hard to believe that 60 years have
passed since graduation.
R.I.P. my friend till we all meet again!
