Yes! Attending Reunion

A bit of my life. Left Cincy after 1966 for Ca. Enrolled in college and worked full time. Sold motorcycles, bummed around, worked in a high class body shop, and drove a nice Porsche. Lived on the very top of Sunset Plaza Dr. and worked for the producer of the Monkees. Began a career in the men's apparel industry. Sold to retail and started a high grade slack company called Por Vous made in LA. Moved to NYC and continued with several small companies and got hired by Armani in the early 80's. Got bored and went to Greece for 3 months. Upon my return Val and I rented loft space in Tribeca. Worked for the Portuguese Trade Commission for 3 years. packed up and returned to Ca. in 86. We bought our first house started and another clothing company called Rapwear. Sold the company and while searching for a new career both of us lectured for a fashion school. Took a position with a large recruiting company. branched off to a startup and remained for 8 years before opening my own firm called LifeCycle. My specialty was wide format printing software and color science. I remained in business for over 10 years as an independent contract manager for giant Japanese printing companies. LifeCycle morphed into laser science. My proudest achievement as a professional was recruiting a renowned femto second laser scientist who helped build a LASIK for Alcon. I have just managed to sit still over the last few years and watch the kids grow.

School Story:

Three of my fellow 65 grads and I rented an apartment on Monastery St. in Mt. Adams during our senior year. It was a 2 story place. Rent was $45 a month. The upstairs living area gave way to a door leading to a large flat roof. We worked to pay the rent and on Friday and Saturday nites the place was teeming with "guests:, Some invited some not. On Sunday we would wonder over to City View and sit outside on the overlook to the Ohio River. Pete Seidner worked @ Schiff Shoes in Swifton, Steve Rosen worked @ Kroger, Buzz Sawyer worked @ W.T. Grant, and I worked @ Radio Shack. It is amazing how far $1.50+ commission an hour could carry us.

Ah Marcia, the precious memeries of Roselawn and way beyond. I do hope you can share your birthday with close friends as long as you are practicing social distancing and wearing your face mask. How to deal with the birthday cake? Well that will be your challenge. Best wishes..........jeff

The Dave Mitchell I knew reminded me of the guy who could put a BIG arm around you when you were in need. He kind of lumbered in his approach, almost slough like. When he addressed you the voice came from way down within, Again if memory serves me well, it evolved to a higher pitch upon release. I am sorry I never recorded him.  Here I stand writing this to his friends and family. Maybe some of you have that memory. You certainly show the LOVE

To the family of Paul Kaplan. I sit here remembering the moments Paul and I were in each others company. It is easy for me to reflect the warmth of his smile and his greeting when we stopped to acknowledge each other. I  recall the friendly face and exchange we had on several ocassions over years in the halls of Woodward. Paul was a mellowed unassuming spirit without a harmful bone in his entire body, He had a shyness in his personality. I regret I was not able to express those memories to him..Jeffrey Robinson

To the Lewis family: John's smile and demeanor taught me a lot. There were several times in our high school career that he reached out to me. I wish I was able to do the same for him. His humility and sincerity made him so special. I miss you my friend

Steve, I remember sharing years in the halls of Woodward with you. On several ocassions both of us saying "hey buddy". You addressed me as a long lost friend, with your infectious smile. These are memories that I will never forget. I am saddened, I will not be able to tell you that in person.

Judy Hawks! Eric and I KNEW OF each other @ Woodward. Sometime around the 50th, we discovered a mutual lost friend in Buzz Sawyer. I located Buzz and tried to get a message to him that Eric wanted to reunite. Calling Buzz was of no avail. I called Eric on two ocassions to give him the news. He was equally frustrated as I was. It somehow brought the two of us together. Eric and I faced each other @ the 50th. I was so impressed by the way Eric handled the meeting. He said" Sometimes people just don't want to participate. I have to respect his privacy."  We shrugged our shoulders and embraced one another. I said" Eric, it's his loss, but you and I are here now to celebrate." So it is now 2 years + since the 50th. We last saw each other @ Peggy's house. I was introduced to your lovely wife Judy. I will never forget your struggled smile when I saw you. I can never forget your 50th. smile as I write this....jeff

To Michael Kern and your entire family. I knew of Nancy passing thru the halls of Woodward. I still picture her infectious smile. When I see the picture of the two of you surrounded by 7 beautiful grandchildren, I think how lucky you were to be part of each other's lives.

So most of us are settled back in our homes, with our families and remembering how we reconnected again. After thinking about how the reunion and the party affected me personally I wish to express these feelings for all to know. I never realized how lucky I was to be part of a team of high school students that have become a giant family after all these years. Some may take this for granted. I revere in the fact I am part of this and treasure every moment. Those of you who have allowed me to become part of your life have only made me think that our youth wasn't wasted on the young. I thank all of you from my heart...Jeffrey Michael Robinson
