It's been almost 50 years since I write from this memory. We were seniors at Woodward, and attended a party given by a close mutual friend in North Avondale. Our eyes said hello, we were scared. I had not understood the word diversity but you were open and liberated. The one who aided the connection laughed. I blushed and retreated. We remained "say hello friends", and now after all these years that memory is seared in my mind.

Patti died tragically in 1972. Her mom, Bobbi, was my upstairs neighbor at the time. Mother & daughter were beautiful, talented people.
